What is the VET contract address

Modified on Thu, 31 Aug 2023 at 07:47 PM

VET is the native coin of the VechainThor blockchain and has no contract address.

However various third parties have bridged the VET coin to other blockchains like Ethereum and BSC, when interacting with these VET coins please pay attention to the following:

  1. When bridged to another chain, you won't receive the VTHO that is being generated by the VET you own.
  2. Many wallets do not support bridged VET. Please watch out when transferring bridged VET and ensure your wallet supports it. You can lose all your coins when you make a mistake.
  3. The bridges have been developed by third parties outside of the Foundation's control, we can't give any guarantees that the bridge will continue to work and you can convert back your bridged VET to native VET on the VechainThor blockchain.

We highly recommend to never buy VET on the Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain network, always make sure you buy and transfer VET on the official VechainThor blokchain. Next to this, always store your coins on wallets that support the VeChainThor blockchain.

VET BEP-20 BSC Chain

Binance has developed a bridge that allows you to convert your VET to VET on the Binance Smart Chain (BEP-20), the contract address of this token is:

0x6FDcdfef7c496407cCb0cEC90f9C5Aaa1Cc8D888

Please note that this bridged VET is not officially supported by vechain, as we are not in control of this bridge. This means that if the bridge ever stops functioning, there will be no way to convert your VET on the BSC blockchain to VET on the VechainThor blockchain.
