How to recover a coin sent using an unsupported blockchain to VeWorld

Modified on Tue, 30 Jan 2024 at 12:40 PM

Veworld.com is the official wallet for the vechainthor blockchain.

Our VeWorld wallet only supports transactions done on the vechainthor blockchain, meaning you can not send any tokens or coins to your veworld wallet using ethereum, cronos, bsc or any other blockchain.

If you do use these unsupported wallets, your coins will not show up.

Please use these instructions at your own risk. If anything goes wrong, you might permanently lose your coins.

Please be very careful with your 12-word secret recovery phrase and private keys, because they control access to your funds. Never share them with anyone, and only import them into platforms that you trust 100%. If you choose to import your 12-word phrase or private keys into a third-party platform, you do so at your own risk.

To recover your coins please use the following steps:

Recovery guide

  1. Get the backup phrase (the 12 words) of your VeWorld wallet. You will need these in the next step.
  2. Download the official wallet for the blockchain you used
    1. Metamask and Trust Wallet both support most popular blockchains
  3. Install the wallet you selected in step 2, during the installation most wallets give you the option to import an existing wallet. During this step import the backup phrase of your veworld address.
  4. You should now have access to your veworld wallet on the correct blockchain and thus access to your coins.
  5. To pay for a blockchain transaction on the ethereum blockchain you need ETH, to pay for a blockchain transaction on the BSC blockchain you need to have BNB in your wallet.
